Product Overview

According to published performance data that is independently certified in accordance with ASHRAE 84-78P, the SEMCO True 3 Angstrom (True 3Å) total energy recovery wheel is far superior to all other air-to-air energy recovery systems. Its unique flute design coupled with numerous other design innovations provides for the highest possible heat transfer characteristics while simultaneously reducing pressure loss parameters. These combined features optimize the “sensible” (temperature) recovery portion of the wheel’s performance.

The True 3Å (TE3) molecular sieve desiccant coating provides “latent” (moisture) recovery efficiencies that match the improved sensible values. The transfer surface provides a rate of adsorption that is more than double that of other desiccants. The result is effective moisture transfer from the high velocity airstreams, which is essential to energy-recovery applications.
